Congratulations – you’re getting married. It’s a daunting task to find a wedding photographer and I know how you might feel about being in front of a camera, so I hope to put you at ease. My style is simple. I work in a relaxed, discreet and unobtrusive way – preferably going unnoticed meaning I capture moments as they unfold, rather than staging them (so you’ll never catch me bossing you around or asking you or your guests to do a series of cringe worthy poses). I want to photograph your wedding day naturally, with as little interruption from me as possible. I think you should be free to enjoy the day, spending time with your friends and family… and of course each other.
Whilst weddings are well rehearsed and prepared with care they all share moments of spontaneity and surprise. So I try to look beyond the obvious, past what everyone else sees and capture candid moments when they occur. I get in amongst the action and photograph the order of events, behind-the-scenes, guests having fun and all of the details that you’ve spent time bringing together. In short, the things you’ll want to look back on in years to come.
No wedding is ever the same, and as such the photography should not be repetitive or a well-used set of routines but instead completely unique to you, tailored to your set of wishes. This way you get so much more than ‘wow shots’ you can frame, you get a collection of photographs that are a true representation of the day, combining a story of anticipation, authentic jubilation, impulsive shenanigans and all of the goings on in-between – moments you may never have noticed during the wedding day itself. Once the celebrations are over I will put a lot of time and care into editing a collection of stunning images that tell your story in an honest and personality-packed way.
It’s a real privilege to photograph weddings and being entrusted to do so means that I completely commit myself to making my clients happy. To give you the best of me, I only shoot a limited number of weddings a year as I greatly value being able to take the time to get to know you.
